Sonos searching

Do you know if its ever likely you will be able to search the Astiga library inside Sonos? All other music sources come up in searches, but not Astiga. Just wondered.

Even after reauthorising, I still get “No content items available” when I go into the Astiga library on my Sonos app. Any ideas?

I've just bought this Subsonic app, and it's really nice looking, nicely laid out but despite me testing Astiga on other Subsonic apps fine, with this app, it doesn't actually sync-download any of the tracks. I can see artists and albums.

I know it's not an Astiga app issue.... but has anyone else tried it with success or failure?

Sonixd broken images

About half the cover art in my collection spontaneously stopped appearing in Sonixd. It has been replaced with a broken image icon and the text "img"next to it. Anyone know why this might happen?

AndroidTV options in general & SonicLair

Looking for clients for my TV that are less troublesome that my previous try on Kodi I found SonicLair today. The catch: it's not updated in 2 years and seems abandoned.

It does however on first look seems to work quite decently on TV, and even scrobbles to last.fm quite nicely. The 2 downsides I found are:

Loading times before tracks are quite long.
It doesn't display any album art.

As similar issues, at least to the album art, have been there before. Any chance you could tell me if these are solvable on your side or issues on their side?

At the same time, I'm curious if you or any other community members know of better AndroidTV alternatives.

Edit: SonicLair also seems go have stability issues, which make it much more unusable. So don't waste time on that 😉. I am still curious for other AndroidTV options.

Edit2: Decided to check regular android apps on TV. Tempo can't boot. The official Astiga app does. However, I can't seem to get a keyboard on the email field (as shown on the picture). I do get one on the password field. I know it's not really supported, but since it's probably somewhat minor: @gravelld any idea why and if it's fixable so I can test how well it works with a TV remote? It looks like it'll use tablet proportions so depending on how input works it may be a decent option.

Symfonium and Astiga

i'm using Astiga with the subsonic client Symfonium which for Android is the one of the most well done client for Subsonic based services.

I've some problems on using it with Astiga:

Astiga needs the Symfonium's compatibility mode for using with it due to the unsupported empty query on the search3 web service, getting a very slow sync process everytime.
There's some problems with the management of compilations, i've talked with the developer on his support channel (https://support.symfonium.app/t/compilation-handling/951) and there's some invalid data with various artists compilations.

For the other things Symfonium is working great, so i hope we can enhance better this integration and have a wonderful subsonic client for Android which works well with Astiga ;)

Some images don't show in Tempo app

I assume this is an issue on the Tempo app's part, so I filed an issue there. However, since I cannot be 100% sure if the issue is on his side (alone), or the Astiga server is part of the cause I wanted to give a heads-up here too.

Can't connect to SubSonic clients... ?

Tried to connect to two SubSonic clients on my Windows 11 system, SuperSonic and SonixD. Always tells me that "authentification failed", but I'm sure I did use the good data, which is provided on my "login information" box (in Astiga webplayer) : https, login, token, I doubled checked a few times each. I trid with http instead of https, I checked and uncheked the "use legacy authentification"... Never whants to access my files. What did I miss?

So I'm not a big fan of using snap store, so I made my own desktop app. Very simple one using nativefier (so Electron based), but functional. I uploaded it to the AUR, so all Arch users (and distro's based on Arch, like Manjaro) can install and use it: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/astiga-nativefier/

Anyways, I'm wondering, will you mention it (as an unofficial third party) app on the apps page? I know I'm not the only Arch/Manjaro fan who's not too keen on using snap store packages, so I figured it might be some nice extra exposure/compatibility for you too with minimal effort considering I maintain it.

In the last few weeks I've discovered a couple of new Subsonic compliant (and therefore Astiga compatible) apps. I wondered if anyone would like to try them out?

The first is a macOS only desktop app, Soundwaves. I was contacted by the developer who introduced the app, and I thought it was an interesting option for macOS desktop control.

The second is Sonixd, another desktop player but this time cross platform. This is much earlier in development, but looks like quite a nice UX.

You can use these with Astiga by providing your username and token (see https://play.asti.ga/apps) to the app.

Let me know your thoughts!

Right now, Starfish is the only other google nest action that can stream music from OneDrive, but it has Issues. Astiga seems a lot better... aside from the fact that I can't have it shuffle play my entire library? I just want to listen to random songs while I work, with no correlation to any playlist!

Google Assistant not completely working

I set up my Astiga account and uploaded some music files to my OneDrive account, which I then successfully linked to my Astiga account. I can play the uploaded songs from within the Astiga web page. I was also able to connect Astiga to my Google account so that Astiga shows up under the "Linked Accounts" list. But when i tell my Google Assistant "Ask Astiga to play [X]" where [X] is any of the files I've uploaded, I get the error message saying "Could not find a song matching [X]". Is there some setting I'm missing? Anyone have any ideas?

I have a bunch of MP3s (file says: MPEG ADTS, layer III, v1, 192 kbps, 44.1 kHz, Stereo) which I can call up with the astiga integration for google home. I've concatenated 5 of these into a single mp3 file using mp3cat so that it could be played without the between-track title announcements that google forces, but for the combined file I get "this format cannot be played on this device". Any tips?

I have tried looking around, but I haven't been able to find this, so I hope someone can help me.

I just got Astiga to work on my google home unit, and I was hoping that I could say something like "play The Beatles" and then it would just mix songs by that artist, but so far I had no succes.

My question is, which commands can I say to it. Is there a list of these somewhere?

Music Stash and Subsonic (Android) apps unable to log in

I am able to log in into the Astiga and the Ultrasonic Android apps, however Music Stash and Subsonic show "wrong user name or password" error.

I first tried using the token as my password (as recommended) and then just to be sure I tried the Astiga password, but neither worked.

I am using https://play.asti.ga as the host/server and my Astiga user name as the user name.

Is there anything I am missing? Are there any other Android apps that work (other than what is shown on the Apps page of Astiga)?

Any help and info is appreciated.

Google assistant (Android, Google Home, Google Nest Mini...)

Hi, I tried to use Astiga with Google assistant (Link and send to Device):

When I received the notification on my phone about "Try Astiga" (with Google Assistant), I've got an error message from Google Assistant saying "Sorry, I didn't find this application".

Astiga player for Android in installed on my device and it works fine, but I'm not sure Google Assistant refer to it.

I tried with my Nest midi too, but it seems the way I ask Google to play music on Astiga doesn't work. The term "Astiga" is understood by Google.
