Changes in audio quality mid-song
When listening via the Android app on a mobile network the sound quality will drop for a while and then recover (will be low quality for a minute or more). When it recovers and rewind the bit that was low quality seems to now be high quality (but have not fully tested that). I don't really use Astiga on my phone when on WiFi.
This happens even if the song has been cached so, I think, it is not a streaming/transcoding issue.
All my music is MP3 (320 or VBR) so shouldn't be transcoded? I thought it might be my headphones dropping to a crap BT version but when I look they're still connected via "HD aptX Adaptive"
This has been happening for a while it just particularly annoyed me on Tuesday when walking into town.
Tech details:
- OnePlus 10 Pro 5G+
- OxygenOS 14.0.0.900 (i.e. Android 14)
- Astiga 1.5.36
- Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless and Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless

Looking at the code, I believe we always request the full bitrate available. Furthermore, if you are skipping back and replaying, and it is now in high quality, it suggests it was downloaded in full quality in the first place - there's nothing in the code that makes it redownload once a file is cached.
It feels to me like this is a phone or Bluetooth issue...
Maybe there are some Android settings for this?
Thanks
I have encountered the situation on the second link on my laptop when a application grabs the bluetooth mic it drops the audio quality and it is like that, so could be my setup, will go through the various suggestions
Thanks, let us know, it might be useful for someone else.
