Automatic library synchronisation temporarily paused
To assist with a database migration we've paused automatic library synchronisation currently. We hope to have it re-enabled by the end of the day.
In addition, some slowness may be noticed as we run the migrations. Please bear with us, this should only be temporary.

Looks like we're going to have to keep it paused until tomorrow, as the migration is taking a long time. Apologies for the inconvenience.
We're really sorry about the ongoing pause to library synchronisation.
We're going to have to push back the expected time of completion. We're currently migrating the largest set of data - the table containing files and their tags from which your music library is built. This is so large that the migration processes estimate is proving wildly wrong and/or varying. The current estimate is that it should finish on Monday.
Again, we're really sorry about this, but I feel the best plan is to get this done.
Note that while you can order a manual sync, it will likely fail (unless there are no files to add).
An update today.
Over the weekend we continued to run this, but unfortunately it failed twice due to contention with the running service. Basically, because we want to keep the site live (bar sync) the running of the live site and the migration are competing.
We are running workarounds to this to maintain both, but unfortunately it looks like this won't complete until late Tuesday now.
We're conscious that sync is very important and this is being held up. If this fails once more, we'll most likely look at putting something in place to at least get some syncs done for a few days before trying again.
Apologies again.
The migration is well past the halfway point after the manual restart mentioned yesterday. At the current estimate it is due to complete Thursday morning.
While I'm really disappointed to inconvenience everyone with this protracted work, I think it's still the right thing to do to allow this to complete.
However I know the sunk-cost fallacy is a thing, and in the event of another failure re-opening sync for a period will definitely be my foremost thought.
Update: the migration is continuing and we're still due to complete on Thursday morning. 🤞
The migration has completed and I have re-enabled sync. Thanks for your patience everyone.
