  What solutions have you used before that support this? I know you can do it in library management software, but streaming services - not so much.

  Hi!

  As you say, this is a library management classic solved problem but . I use now MusicBee and long ago y used Subsonic and seems it's a non solved trouble today.

  Maybe Astiga could solve that subsonic don't. I hope so!

  Welcome! At the moment this is not supported. I was pretty sure there was a feature request for it, but apparently not. Feel free to create one.

  The difficulty regarding multiple artists/albums/genres is two-fold:

  1. The Subsonic API (which is the thing that the third-party apps connect to) does not support multiple artists/albums/genres, so that makes it more difficult already.
  2. The way your library entries are stored in the database limits it to one artist/album/genre only. Changing it is possible, but not an easy undertaking, as it is quite a fundamental part of how Astiga works (it affects everything that uses the artist/album/genre information in some way, which is quite a lot).

  So it's not impossible to change, but not that simple either. However, I can of course do it if there is sufficient demand for it :-)

  Is it possible? Yes. Is it difficult to do with the current structure? Also yes.

  So at the moment, multi genre, artist, album, title (yes, a song can have more than one title in theory), etc. are not supported, and if they are found, they are put together combined with an ampersand.

  I moved it to feature requests by the way, because it is not really a bug, and this way other can upvote it, and I know how many others want this as well so I can give it the proper priority.

  I'd like to see a way to "link" multiple genres to an album. Currently, if an album is tagged "Pop; Rock" it doesn't show up under "Pop" or "Rock". It could be fairly easily doable if there's currently a mapping of [genre: album] stored in the database somewhere (and I'd guess there is). For each album imported, you could see if there's something that looks like a delimiter (semicolon, comma, ampersand, etc). Then on import you could add the album to that mapping using the genre split around the delimiter, e.g. both the "Pop" and "Rock" genres.

  As having two parallel discussions is a bit confusing.
