This morning I am having the same issue as BrightDarkness above. Albums I've definitely played through Astiga won't play, and navigating to them results in a 404 page. I am seeing this on all albums, I cannot play anything.

    (Discussing this via email).

Thanks @starmandeluxe - this highlighted an issue where band fields aren't populated. We're hoping to have a fix deployed asap.

    @_BrightDarkness_

I have albums starting with "." and it spits out "Oops! Page not found." on https://play.asti.ga/albums. https://play.asti.ga/albums/. redirects to the same link without the dot.

Sorry for not replying, I'd asked someone to look at this... it looks like the same issue as @starmandeluxe . We're testing a fix at the moment and it'll hopefully be released asap.

  • Hey. I may have found another issue. I was syncing and used "You can stop the syncing process by clicking here." and I clicked "here" to stop the syncing process. It seemed like it went through and the process isn't advancing.

But now I cannot start another sync as it says "Your previous sync is still running. Please wait for your previous sync to finish before starting a new one. The progress of your previous sync is shown below".

    It's been 3 hours.

Definitely sounds like a separate problem - we'll look into it.

Hopefully the "Page not found" problem for albums is now fixed: https://community.asti.ga/discussion/comment/3703/#Comment_3703

@starmandeluxe @_BrightDarkness_ Can you let me know?

Note! There is a known bug on the overview/home page, when clicking through to an album causes the same issue. We're working on this, but wanted to release the above fix anyway...

  • I just did a spot check and can confirm exactly what you said above: albums that were previously 404 can now be accessed directly and played.

Thank you so much for your work on this!

  • good day!

i've also been experiencing some of the issues that were reported above, most recently the "404 oops cannot find album page".

this morning after reading that it has been fixed, i tried looking for the albums which gave the 404 error by going to Library >Albums, and got a new error: "getAlbumsByLetter failed: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 3696 The regular expression contains an unclosed bracket expression."

however, trying to find the "faulty" albums via Library >Genre seems to work fine, and i can now access some the albums which were previously giving "404" errors, however others still show up with "404", and i can't see any pattern with their naming that might trigger this.

another issue that started happening with some larger albums with more than 1 page, only the first page is populated with songs; the other pages are all empty. again, i can't see any discernable pattern that might cause such an issue in how the songs are named or labelled.

let me know if there's more info i can provide that would help get the issues fixed! 😊

Thanks for reporting, we'll look into this. Can you give us some example of which albums are affected by these issues rather than looking for patterns?

I realise the first one 'gatAlbumsByLetter' is a group issue, not an individual album.

  • Thanks for getting back so quickly!

Hmm i kinda ran through them randomly, so i can't quite recall which ones weren't working, but what i can do is list maybe 20 from my list of albums which were sorted by Genre, with the Album name and its status!

    An American Tail: OK

An American Tail: Fievel Goes West: 404

    Animage Complete Collection: OK

    Animaniacs - Yakko's World: OK

    Assassination Classroom: OK

    Balto (Expanded): OK

Beauty and the Beast (Special Edition): OK

    Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers: 404

@neosigma0 Can you send me the URL in your browser when you get:

getAlbumsByLetter failed: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 3696 The regular expression contains an unclosed bracket expression

    ?

  • oh I'm on https://play.asti.ga/albums when the error occurs.

  • gravelldgravelld Administrator

    Yep, replicated now 👍️

  • Not sure if this is related, but: I'm not ever getting any 404 errors, but I've noticed that when I'm looking at albums from the Genre view, some albums just won't load into the queue and won't play. Others will. But if in the Genre view I click on the album cover, and then in the Album view try to play the album, it will load into the queue and play just fine.

  • gravelldgravelld Administrator

Thanks @tongnamu Can you give me some examples?

  • Sure, some albums that play just fine are:

High Country Holiday (Andy Thorn); The Light Came Down (Josh Garrels); Encore! (Midori); Requiem (Karl Jenkins); Orchestre Massako (Orchestre Massako); The Honesty Room (Dar Williams)

Some albums that do not play are:

December (George Winston); From My Perspective (Charles W. Ore); Monteverdi: Vespers of 1610 (Harry Christophers: The Sixteen); O Jesulein (Ensemble Clematis); Windy City (Alison Krauss); I'll Meet You Here (Dar Williams)

In trying to find these examples, it seems that there are many more albums that won't play than will, which is unfortunate!

  • Hey. I am trying to access play.asti.ga/albums

I get this message "getAlbumsByLetter failed: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 3696 The regular expression contains an unclosed bracket expression."

On play.asti.ga or play.asti.ga/home, "most" and "recently played", all albums show "Oops! Page not found."

again, i can't see any discernable pattern that might cause such an issue in how the songs are named or labelled.

    I agree.

I am also up to date by reading the new comments on this thread - I have nothing to add.

  • gravelldgravelld Administrator

This issue occurs when there's an album in your collection that starts with punctuation... we're going to release a fix on Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience...

    Thanks for the examples @tongnamu

  • yeah i have this issue too, pressing the ▶ and + icons on the album thumbnail does nothing most of the time when in Genre view, and Album view, when Albums were still working.

they only work when you're inside the album itself if the album is found, and if the album is large enough that there are multiple pages, the + button only adds the current page. hopefully the upcoming fix addresses this too! 😄

  • gravelldgravelld Administrator

It's my first priority to try and get some fixes out. The new infrastructure makes it easy and traceable to deploy these, to the extent they may be drip-fed if it makes sense (e.g. fixing some of the issues asap is better than fixing none).

  • true that! can't argue with having some improvements over none! 😁

    thanks for your hard work!!

  • gravelldgravelld Administrator

Hopefully we'll be able to release this early tomorrow now. We have most issues fixed, but I don't want to deploy in the evening.

  • gravelldgravelld Administrator

Thanks for everyone's feedback (and patience) on this. We've deployed some fixes in 20241203 - how are they working out for people? @neosigma0 @_BrightDarkness_ @tongnamu @starmandeluxe

  • The issues I mentioned all seem to be resolved now! Thank you!

  • gravelldgravelld Administrator

    A good start! 👍️

  • Thank you thank you! Yes the problems previously encountered are all gone! Amazing work!!

i don't wanna dampen the good feels and all, but i did notice something odd but not sure if it was there prior to the fixes since this function didn't seem to work - adding an entire album to "Now Playing" from Album view level with the + icon now works, but also seems to interrupt an ongoing playlist to restart at the first track rather than seamlessly adding on new tracks.

The odd thing is that the expected behaviour occurs when adding the entire album with "+" from within the album; the music continues playing on the playlist without interruption and the new tracks are added to the end of the playlist.

I wouldn't say it's a huge issue since i usually queue all my music up before i start playing, but perhaps it could be something to tackle next once you've had a breather from this last major bug fix! 😄

Huge huge thanks once again for the awesome work done to the site!! 😁

  • gravelldgravelld Administrator

Thanks - it's all valuable feedback because that shouldn't happen. We'll look into it.

  • I couldn't reproduce the issues with the albums anymore. Great!

I noticed that on first loading play.asti.ga, the website becomes unresponsive for ~6 seconds. The font of the hyperlinks are blue until the website is responsive again.

Home, Albums, Artists, Genres and so on I'm meaning with hyperlinks.

Other than that I'm pretty satisfied.

  • gravelldgravelld Administrator

The unresponsiveness is related to the "recently added" section of the home page - we're working on this.
