Only adds the first 10, 20 and so on in the "Now playing" playlist

Hello there,

this is a support request. And I hope the topic wasn't already posted in the community. (Haven't found anything that fits to it.)

And sorry for the late post, I recognized this problem already a few weeks ago, maybe already in october or november, can't say anymore. Cause all the time I "fixed" it on my own.

On the subject:

I have two storage connections to my dropbox account:

  • The first one is named "Dropb Musik aktuell", that connects to the Dropbox folder "/Musik/0 Musik aktuell anhören".
  • The other one is named "Dropb Musik fertig", that connects to the Dropbox folder "/Musik/Musik fertig".

Both have "automatic synchronisation" enabled

(Just for notice: This music I alreay edited with tags, pictures inside the file, a fitting file name and also the artist / album as folder name. This files are to listen and also check if there the mp3 files are OK and if I like the music. When ready, I move the album folder to the Dropbox folder "Musik fertig".)

To listen to a new album, I chose the folder directly from Dropbox and add all the songs inside the album folder into the "Now playing" playlist by clicking on the (+).

But no matter how many files are in the folder, it only adds 10s in the "Now playing" playlist.

For example, if the folder has 16 songs, it only adds the first 10. Another folder has 47 songs, but only 40 songs are added.

Examples of how I name my folders / files:

  • File "001 - Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard - Why so Serious"
  • Folder "The Dark Knight (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)"

I recognized this phenomenon in both my connections. And I already checked if it could be cause of my browser settings and tools, like the extensions. Or my VPN connection.

But I get that phenomenon also when VPN is off. And I also use the Astiga Windows Web App, where I see the same phenomenon.

The last weeks I "fixed" it myself by adding the remaining songs manually.

But I hope some developer / supporter can fix this, so I don't have to do that anymore.

Thanks in advance.

  • Another strange phenomenon is ( maybe cause of the problem above):

I just added 2 songs with the (+) to the "Now playing" playlist, but couldn't save the "Play queue" with the save button. I get the "Save playlist" windows and can add a playlist name, but when I click "Save playlist", nothing happens.

Some other "Play queue", which I added a few days ago, I could save this morning, but not the last days.

Hi - I just tried to replicate but I can see all the tracks are added. Could you record a video or at least screenshots of what you are clicking and send it to info@asti.ga ?

    Thanks!

  • Sorry for the late response. Today I had time to make a video record of adding files to a playlist:

    https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/i2hud3gce61nz9vh1yyap/Astiga-Playlist-erstellen.mp4?rlkey=928dg4oc1ry7ld2a9d5w5a9xc&st=27fnais0&dl=0 (available until january 31st 2016)

The 10s-problem still exist, but today I could directly save the playlist.

I'll check this on Monday. Hope that's ok. Sorry, ran out of time tonight.

  • No problem. Don't hurry. And thanks for the help.

Ok, I have replicated this now. We've started looking into it and created a ticket to track this through to a fix. I'm not sure if the fix will be in the next milestone yet (which is coming out this week).

    Thanks for reporting!

  • Thanks for your help. And like I said, no hurry. It took me a while to describe and report it. :-) So take your time to fix this.

(I'm a IT supporter myself, so I know how stressfull it sometimes can be. So I see that this topic don't need to be high priority.)

  • Thanks again for the help.

The reported bug seems to be fixed.

But another problem now is that I don't see the queue list anymore, at least in the Windows app. There's no button anymore to unfold the queue on the right side, and also doesn't unfold when songs are added.

On the other hand, in the browser version there is still the button. So that way I could check that the queue playlist is complete now.

Please hard refresh (if that's possible in the app) - I also saw this and it's an outdated stylesheet I think.

  • I tested it, but I didn't find any solution to do a hard refresh. Also not by the key F5 or Ctrl+R, as it would work in the browser.

I also logged out of the Windows App and logged in again, but no difference.

Also recognized that there seem to be a difference in the style since the update. Before, when I unfolded the queue list, the other content fitted to the queue list, so the file entries with the (+) "evaded" to the left, so the (+) was still avaiable. Now when unfolding, it covers up the file list including the (+) and the progress bar.

And another thing I think did change - am not complete sure - is that when scrolling the queue list, the header "Play queue" also slides away. Before (I think so) only the files did slide, but the header still stayed. So I think the work of the scrollbar did change somehow.

Yes, you're right on those. I'll have a look to see if we can change those things back. The missing play queue button is still troubling though. It's odd if it can't be recreated on the Web (the Windows app is just a view of the website).

[...] Before, when I unfolded the queue list, the other content fitted to the queue list [...]

We've fixed this in development, it will be in the next release.

I think the other one should be fine to fix too, but it's not done yet...

The play queue header scrolling behaviour is fixed now too - in next week's build.
