custom file location for song and album art

I like how the storage location for songs themselves can be chosen to internal or external, and I'm wondering if the same can be done for album art. My device's internal storage runs rather low, so this would really help. By default it's internal only it seems. I am on android

Some phones allow you to manually move the entire app to the external storage, but apart from that, there is currently no way to do that like the music.
Would this be a feature that may be added in the future?
