Buffering with google cast

I use the astiga app for Android every day to cast music for my kids. I have a playlist that is cached locally and will play just fine on my phone but when you cast it, can take a long time to start playing. Is there something that can be done about this? Or is there some limitation I'm not aware of?

    Settings -> Casting -> Device proxy

    By default it asks the Cast device (e.g. Google Home) to play a certain file, and the Google Home then directly fetches that file from Astiga. This means it fully bypasses your local device cache, as the request never goes through your device.
