Play all tracks in Currently Displayed Folder

I've looked at this

and I feel like I've missed something.

When I navigate to a folder I'd like to be able to play everything in that folder. Is that possible? Or do I need to add each track to a playlist?

And when it comes to adding tracks to a playlist, how do I add multiple items at once? ie. f I want to select a range of tracks and then add them to a playlist is that possible?

For adding all files in a folder, you can click the button marked in red here:

Selecting multiple items is not possible (yet). Something like it has been requested before though:
