Cover art in demo version

I have a large music collection. I am fed up with Cloud Player's bugs!! I want to be able to stream from the cloud to my phone and chromecast the audio. The demo seems to do all that SIMPLY perfectly - after 10 or 15 minutes trialling it.

Hoever, there is NO cover art (so far) on any of the albums. In the original... some is embedded, some is there as a jpg (mostly jpg, to be honest). Will it upload overnight? Does it upload at all on the demo version?

What is the purple pin symbol? How can I get rid of it? What does it do?

Hi - it looks like the cover art is appearing now. After adding a storage account you have to go through the "synchronise" process before the albums and cover art populate.

Can you see the artwork now? If not, please let me know which page/screen of the app you are looking at.

This appears when the song/file is cached on the device. When it is, it is available when in offline mode.

  • The artwork wasn't showing this morning. Synchromisation was complete at UK 04:00. I went onto my music folder on OneDrive at about 08:00 UK time this morning, edited one or two jpgs to change the name to cover.... and suddenly all the artwork appeared for all albums. So Astiga scores 10/10 again.

Does Astiga work by ALWAYS downloading files on the device cache?

Is the cache cleared automatically at some point, or should i do that from time to time, to prevent the device from filling up too much?

Hmmmm. That's odd behaviour for the cover art. What screen in the app are you looking at - one of the album lists?

The app does cache a lot of stuff, including the music files themselves and also the library lists. Pulling down on the list reloads the latter.

For the former, files are evicted from the device cache when the cache limit is exceeded - see the cache settings under the 'hamburger' (three horizontal lines) menu.

  • TbH... I have no idea what I did this morning. In any event, it's working perfectly, now.

The cache explanation is fine. Thanks.
