Albums with ~ in title don't work, //band on the end of URL

Hey,

Another little issue. I have 2 albums by Koda Kumi called W Face ~Inside~ and W Face ~Outside~. Somewhere recently these stopped working correctly. When I click on the album on the artist page, it gives me the following URL with an "oops page not found" page: https://play.asti.ga/album/W%20Face%20~Inside~//band

The //band on the end seems odd. I also seem to recall you retired the band URL. I'm guessing the ~ is doing something odd to your URLs since.

When I play songs from the album from a playlist it oddly enough does work. And while it doesn't work in third party apps like Feishin either, the files work fine when searching them trough folder view in the Astiga app (probably because it then works around the URL).

The "/band" you see is a temporary fix - we'll hopefully have rid of them soon. We'll look into the error.

  • I just noticed I also have the issue on an album called "Sweet Black" from "Maki Goto", so it seems like the ~ isn't the cause.

I also noticed other albums that do work don't end with //band, but with /[artist]/band. So the oddity of the double // does seem to come into play somewhere (it seems that for some reason, on some albums the artist isn't filled in between them). I have no clue why however, the metadata tags are the same as on other tracks, yet only a few don't work.

For example, a working page is: "https://play.asti.ga/album/Angel/Chanmina/band"

But one that doesn't work: "https://play.asti.ga/album/Sweet%20Black//band"

Yeah - it's a sync problem. When we ship the next version I think if you perform a resync it should work out - if not I can do some manual data cleaning.

  • I did a complete resync after yesterday's release, but I fear the same issue still persist. It's also still on the same albums, so I wonder if there is something in those albums that breaks?

The changes didn't go into this last build - there's a problem with the way album metadata in our database is updated. I can try running a manual cleanup this afternoon, but your library will look incomplete for an hour or so. Is that ok @Cambionn ?

  • It's fine. Go for it! Just let me know when you turned it on 😉

    It's running...

These albums appear to show the tracks fine now... agree?

  • Yes! Seems to work good now.
