Help needed

Hi admin.... after having initial problems with setup & running 1st time round i decided to amend my dropbox account and reconnect to a renamed dropbox library only now i'm having bigger issues - some files play some dont, the library is not syncing at all on my mobile device and has stalled for over 24hrs now on desktop attached are the various issues i've run into....none of it makes sense to me, can some one have a look pls?

    Hi @Dermot_L , sorry about this confusing feedback.

    The first image suggests the service was temporarily down. This might've been when we were deploying a small update. It shouldn't occur frequently. Are you seeing it often?

    The second is normal - it's your sync log and is showing files being added to your library. Note that oftentimes WAV files are not tagged, and if that's the case they won't show as songs, albums and so on in your library.

    The third is an error message relating to your connection to Dropbox. Can you try refreshing your connection?

    1. Click on your Dropbox account under Storage on the left-hand menu. (or go to https://play.asti.ga/storage/Music )
    2. Click Edit
    3. Click Update token. Follow the Dropbox sequence.
    4. When you're returned to Astiga, click Save storage.

    The fourth is probably the same issue as above and might be rectified when you have updated the token.

    The fifth may be the same issue, or it may be related to an inability to play that codec on your computer... see if it goes away after the above.

    I can take a deeper look on Monday.

    I just double checked your account.

    Your Dropbox account seems to be working when browsing the folders/files from the /storage page.

    However your library appears to be a relic from a previous setup with a different storage account name, so you'll have to re-sync.

    How are you getting on, did you try recreating the token as suggested above?

    sorry i'm just getting around to trying the steps outlined. The token was updated successfully. I'm trying to RE-Sync but it says the previous sync is still running, which, if it is, it has been syncing for days now and which, considering if you say astiga is running off an old relic dropbox library then its still trying to sync this old library.


    As of now, although i can see my library, absolutely nothing is playable.

    As I wrote above - nothing is playable because it's from a previous version of your storage account.

    Things are compounded because we're running maintenance on the sync server. I have started a new sync for you.

    The problem is the same as before - all the files in your library refer to an old storage account.

    Shall I go ahead and remove the stale versions, and run you a new sync so the paths are updated?

  • i thought by updating the token this would've fixed this problem??....but yes, please, go ahead and remove the stale versions and run a new sync. thanks in advance. Is there anything i need to do on my end?

    Updating the token just fixes the connection to Dropbox. Because the paths of your files and name of your storage account has also changed, that's what has broken things.

    I've cleared those up and started a new sync for you. It may take some time as we've got a few queued up at the moment.

  • just an update: it seems everything is back up and running okay today, thanks for your help with this issue, its good to get the service going again.
