Why Does Playback Stop?

I am home now with my mobile phone playing back media over its built-in speaker. I am attempting to play music, but there is no activity at all. There is no movement on the screen, and I hear no sound:

This same file plays without issue in pCloud web player:

Note that I paid one year for premium this morning. I am still within my trial period that expires tomorrow, but I paid the one year subscription prior to the end of my trial.

I get no playback attempting to play this same music from the website either: https://play.asti.ga/

I logged out of the website then logged back in. Now playback works from the website. I will do the same from the mobile app.

I can find no way to log out of the mobile app. Uninstall followed by reinstall does not log me out. The mobile app is not functional, and I cannot access my account through it.

Don't worry, we always issue refunds.

I need to look into this a bit more - this is an APE file and in theory this should work, but I need to check a few things...

I am actively converting all APE to FLAC. This file now exists as FLAC. APE is old, slow and outdated.

I was not thinking refund, but the service so far has not been very reliable.

Oh, ok. I can see now that the file is a FLAC. However, you must've changed that since your last sync? All Astiga has on record is the path to your music file and that is discovered when you sync. So you need to re-run the sync process, or maybe just enable auto sync in the storage settings.

Another bug here is that you should've got a "file not found" error message which would've made this more obvious - I'll look into that.

    Daily auto-syncs have been enabled.

I've fixed the absence of error message 👍

May I suggest that the file not found error message automatically close after N seconds then proceed to play the next file. The current implementation halts all playback. Pressing play again does nothing. I understand a message is not being displayed, but skip the file after some time to allow playback to continue.

    That's a good idea, thanks!
