Separate Music Libraries?

I have 2 distinct music collections -- classical and non-classical. In Subsonic/Airsonic I can configure them as separate libraries so they are kept distinct from one another and accessed separately. Can this be done in Astiga?

You can add them as two different storages, and thus access them separately. It depends a bit on what you consider keeping them fully distinct. They will appear together in the albums/artists list (although you can do this per storage too in the app), but you can access both folders completely separately.

  • Hmm, in Subsonic I choose the library, then only albums/artists from that library appear in the list. I'm not sure the "different storages" solution will accomplish what I need but I'll give it a try and see how it turns out. Thanks much for the reply!

I thought it would be nice to have multiple profiles along with different folders or storage's to sync for each profile. I've considered doing something similar to Dave, having a second profile for a different genre and maybe another one for other audio format(s). My current one is almost strictly my FLAC collection, but having a compressed collection maybe nice when bandwidth is limited, maybe compressing my FLAC music using OGG Vorbis.

But, I don't know how easy (or hard, which I'm assuming it would be) to implement a feature like this would be.
