        <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m not a huge fan of the UI on the Astiga app. I&#39;ve been reading that it&#39;s possible to use other audio players in sync with the Astiga service. Can any of you recommend some of them so I can try them out on my Android phone?</p><p>I&#39;m in the processing of migrating from Spotify and their app is pretty versatile and smooth. If I can find anything that handles music playing / sorting / displaying / etc as good as Spotify does, I&#39;d be very happy :)</p><p>Thanks!</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I just made my account and downloaded the app. I have attempted to sync to my music folder in OneDrive but it doesn&#39;t appear to be working - on the page where it says the synchronisation progress log will appear, it instead very briefly shows an error message that immediately disappears. I cannot read the error message because it disappears too quickly, although if I refresh the page it briefly becomes visible again. I have attempted to stop and restart the sync multiple times as I was afraid I was doing something wrong, which seems to be producing new kinds of error message - however I still cannot read any of them. It has been about an hour and no music has appeared on my app, so I am concerned the errors are preventing syncing, but I would mostly like to know what&#39;s going on.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I made use of the playlist import feature for the first time today.  I have a playlist that contains over 10,000 tunes from my pCloud My Music directory.  It is an m3u8 playlist that contains relative paths.  I used the bulk playlist import feature, because I could find no other way to import a playlist.  This bulk import takes a very long time.  All of my playlists exists in the root of My Music and no place else.  I have two m3u8 playlist files in the root.  One of them named Electronica_Mix.m3u8 exist one time, but it gets shown several times.  This is the large one containing over 10,000 tracks.</p><p>I did allow this playlist to complete while running overnight, and I do see it in the web application and the Android app.  The Android app is facing issues with this playlist.  I constantly see messages stating Astiga is not responding.  However, the app is not stuck.  It actually does play music successfully, but the not responding messages keep showing over and over.  I can either ignore them or click wait.         <description><![CDATA[<p>Chat GPT (not the most reliable source of information on the planet) tells me that there is a graphic equaliser on the app.  I cannot find it.  Where is it ?  Or has it been removed?</p><p>One more Q...  (Sorry to be  a pain... but moving from a one-off payment with Cloud Player to an annual subscription with Astiga merits a bit of road testing)...  In the app in the artist listing no art is shown, just a pair of semiquavers.  Is that intentional?  If I select an artist all the individual album art appears, exactly as expected.</p><p>Finally, finally, one last thing for me to try out before I subscribe ... uploading a new artist/album.</p><p><br /></p><p>I am really impressed a) with the App and b) with the support provided to all my daft questions!!</p><p>😃</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a large music collection.  I am fed up with Cloud Player&#39;s bugs!!  I want to be able to stream from the cloud to my phone and chromecast the audio.  The demo seems to do all that SIMPLY perfectly - after 10 or 15 minutes trialling it.</p><p><br /></p><p>Hoever, there is NO cover art (so far) on any of the albums.  In the original... some is embedded, some is there as a jpg (mostly jpg, to be honest).  Will it upload overnight?  Does it upload at all on the demo version?</p><p><br /></p><p>What is the purple pin symbol?  How can I get rid of it?  What does it do?</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>A new thread to consolidate news of alpha and beta releases for the Astiga Android app.</p><p>We use the alpha track for testing releases that have cleared our own internal testing. This means they are broadly stable, but haven&#39;t been tested with the full range of different Android hardware, firmware, bundled software and OS variants.</p><p>We use the beta track for testing releases which have had exposure to more devices and are essentially expected to be production ready. The beta track gives us more statistically significant numbers by which we can judge the stability and reliability of a given release.</p><p>We have a tighter group of alpha testers, as opposed to the beta testing track which is &quot;open&quot; testing. <strong>If you&#39;d like to be an alpha tester</strong>, drop a reply here. If your email address in Astiga is different to Google Play, you&#39;ll have to supply your Google play email address (you can do that by emailing us at info@asti.ga ). <strong>If you&#39;d like to be a beta tester</strong>, you should be able to sign up via Google Play.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I created a new Astiga account today and I can use Astiga on the windows 10 computer in Google Chrome. And I extended my login with the t2a token. Login is successful on the computer.</p><p>But I can&#39;t login in the Astiga app on my Android Smartphone. I add my mail address and password in the login fields. But when I press &quot;sign in&quot; I get the message: This password or email adress is incorrect; make sure you use the token if two-factor authentification in enabled.</p><p>The problem here: There isn&#39;t a field for the t2a token, only the mail, password and then login button and create-an-account-link.</p><p>some technical information on my android system:</p><p>I use a Sony Xperia 10 V, modell XQ-DC54 with Android 14, build-number 68.1.A.2.170 and I have the security app from Malwarebytes active. (And also the Malwarebytes vpn app installed, but not active when trying to login.)</p><p>So, has someone a suggest or solution for the login problem?</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Usually when casting from an Android app to Chromecast, another app starting to cast will cause the first app to disconnect. When another app takes over casting from Astiga, opening the Astiga app again will cause Astiga to reclaim control. </p><p>This also occurs if you pause Astiga playback while casting, let it time out so the Chromecast goes back to the standby screen, and then open the Astiga app. I&#39;ve interrupted a few shows this way by opening the app.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>(Sorry - jumped the gun here a little - the beta is still in review but we hope it will roll out over the next 24 hours).</p><p>We&#39;ve released a new beta of the Android app into beta testing, for all those who have signed up to be a beta tester.</p><p>The only change is an update in the target API level - to remain discoverable in Google Play we need to declare Android 12 as our target version (although the app will continue to work on older versions).</p><p>This also mandated a bunch of updated declarations, being more explicit about how features of the app are exposed to Android.         <description><![CDATA[<p>My sync was started hours ago from my Android mobile app that directed me to the web interface to initiate it.  I did check off the option to send an email when it completed, and I have not received mail.  I am assuming that it is still executing.  I am able to see content on both the mobile app from my phone and the web interface from my computer.  For my computer I see more content, such as items by genre.  From my phone I click the hamburger icon (upper left), Library, Genres and it shows me:  No data.</p><p>Would I be able to create a filter that does the following?         <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently had to reinstall the Astiga app on my Android device. After the reinstall, the app has been unable to read the metadata for any of the songs in my storage (such as song name, artist, album title). On the player, I just see the file name. Prior to the reinstall, this was never a problem - after a few seconds, the app would read the track&#39;s metadata and find the track&#39;s song/album/artist. The web app, however, still has no issues reading the track&#39;s metadata.</p><p>This is especially an issue as it means that none of my songs I play from the app scrobble to last.fm, which is something of a deal-breaker for me. Is there just some settting that I can&#39;t seem to find that I need to reactivate on the mobile app? Is there some other solution? I&#39;ve already tried about everything I can think of. (Re-installing the app again, removing and re-adding my storage, re-syncing my storage, etc.) Thanks.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>So this started maybe a month or two ago, seemingly overnight the Windows Astiga app just stopped playing any tracks - And I can&#39;t remember if the search had ever really worked, but that definitely doesn&#39;t work now. </p><p>I assume the PC app is just a wrapped displaying the web app, so I don&#39;t think there&#39;s any way to update it - However the web app still works fine in-browser.</p><p>Also it just generally seems to hard lock when navigating between different areas (e.g. library management and your library) - Have to close and re-open the app.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Just wondering, as I&#39;m busy de-Googling my systems, any change you would consider having an F-Droid repository for Astiga (or perhaps all Elsten Software apps)?</p><p>While F-Droid doesn&#39;t allow non-FOSS software in the main repository, anyone can host a repository with apps that can be added to the app in order to F-Droid which allows for managing and updating apps without the need for the Play Store. Bitwarden, Collabora, Fedilabs, Chimbori, Bromite and Molly are some examples of apps distributed like this aside of Play Store releases.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve recently gone through a series of resets and cache cleaning on my android phone on order to trouble shoot an issue with Google cast, I.e. not working with Google speakers for more than one track. Clearing out the Google play services data finally appears to have corrected the issue for another app... But astiga seems unable to play to a speaker group. It can play to one individual speaker or pair, but no longer plays to a group.</p><p><br /></p><p>I know Google had to jump through some hoops following the Sonos judgment, and I&#39;m wondering if the cast API has changed and slightly broken astiga?</p>]]>
